This is actually version 2 of 'Torso or Portrait Study', which no longer exists in the state that is displayed here. I have a practice of making these plaster "sculpture blanks" that are used for other pieces. Sometimes I find the molds or blanks to be interesting on their own merits. So, my intent is to try and honor some of the meanings associated with this practice when it comes time to finalize something in the form of an installation or assemblage.
