I went to Art School in Columbus Ohio. It's a cool place, but at the time, the city was known for racial tension and shootings. Segregation into poor neighborhoods seemed obvious. You'd hear gun fire in the distance as you would go about your business. I was robbed at gunpoint, once. A few of my friends were pursued by gangs late at night. I thought the 90's were bad, but judging by current news reports and statistics on school shootings, things have obviously gone from bad to worse. This is a painting of two dead teenagers under a bridge or overpass by a highway.
