My painting of Epimenides. This is the famous liar of "the liar's paradox." I heard about this guy from reading Douglas Hofstadter's book, Metamagical Themas. Hofstadter says that he was a "Cretan" (from Crete), who said "All Cretans are Liars." There you have the paradox. I think he looks somewhat irritated.
