This imaginary landscape is developed primarily from creating a non-specific morass of different values on paper using a graphite stick. Then, like a rorschach test, I start to see other forms that could begin to emerge. I will then draw in these forms and try to develop a sense of narrative and light in the image. Many of these drawings become dream-like or surreal. The landscape is a theme I use a lot, and it's a reflection of the psyche; it could be my own, or something I'm channeling from the collective unconscious.
