I've never killed anyone. But those who have, react to what they've done in very similar ways. It eats them alive in some way. Unless they are afflicted with psychopathy, in which case, they've already been eaten alive. I'm glad I read Crime and Punishment. So many murderers behave like Raskolnikov that the pattern of behavior has almost a 100% likelihood of predictability. Taunting the public is one behavior (OJ Simpson, Richard Matt, David Sweat, David Berkowitz, etc.). It's almost like they want to get caught or be noticed for their actions. Recently GZ has stated that he's "waiting for Karma". I would argue that it's already arrived. It's instant. You can't take someone's life without it gnawing away at your insides, no matter what kind of persona you try to present to the world. Again, unless of course, you're a psychopath - (That's 1% of general population - 25% of male inmate population).
