    Testing out a theory I had about the texture and surface of a prop used in the film "Alien." This version of Billy the Test Subject is an Ultracal 30 shell cast with gray acrylic paint and acrylic matte medium layered one over the other. Then polyurethane over that. On top of that is my wax formula for temporary installation forms (paraffin and beeswax with pigment). On top of that is some latex skin.

    You can see some translucency in some parts of the casting.
